Formed in the winter of 1998 as a local show distro Rok Lok Records started releasing records in August 1999 with the release of On the Might of Princes "The Making of a Conversation. Inspired by labels like Touch & Go, K Records, Shrimper, Merge, Ebullition, Mountain Collective, and local DIY label Traffic Violation Records, over the years Rok Lok has released a diverse catalog of releases ranging from emotive post hardcore, post punk, lo fi pop, indie rock, shoegaze, screamo, hardcore, ambient/drone, folk, etc. Additionally, Rok Lok has maintained a large mail order distro carrying hundreds and hundreds of titles from various genres and different parts of the globe, supporting independent music of any kind Check us and our bands out at: http://www.roklokrecords.com
